FILM + DIGITAL. HEARTFELT. ARTFUL. MOMENTS YOU’LL RETURN TO

CAMERA SHY? THAT’S OKAY. I FOCUS ON THE REAL STUFF > THE MOMENTS YOU’RE TOO BUSY FEELING TO NOTICE.

HEY YOU TWO, I’M CLAUDIA, AND BEFORE YOU EVEN GET INTO PRICING OR PACKAGES, I JUST WANT TO SAY THIS:

Professional photographer wearing beige blazer poses with camera on white bedding in minimalist portrait series.

I care a lot about how your photos feel. Not just how they look, but what they hold. You know those moments that happen when you’re not performing, when you lean into each other mid-laugh, or your hands find each other without thinking? That’s the stuff that gets me. That’s what I chase.

I’m not a “pose and smile” kind of photographer. I’ll give direction when you need it, but mostly I want you to exist in your day. Laugh, cry, dance, eat your cake, get a little messy. My approach is artful but honest and human.

What I really want is for you to look back at your gallery and feel it all over again , the light, the noise, the calm, the blur of it all. Because at the end of the day, that’s what lasts.

I only take on a limited number of weddings each year because I like to know the people I photograph. I want to learn what’s important to you, who makes you laugh, and what moments matter most.

So, if you’re looking for someone who’s as invested in your story as you are, I’m all in.

Justine And Kevin - Their Experience:

"Claudia truly cares for the people she captures and it shows in her work. She takes the time to ensure that the photos are the best that they possibly can be for her clients, and you can see and feel the time and care that goes into each and every photo. She used both digital and film photos and reproduced the magic of our wedding through both mediums phenomenally"

What It’s Like Working With a Big Romantic Softie:

A Romantic at Heart

I’m a big romance mush at heart. I tear up during vows, I notice the way someone reaches for a hand mid-speech, and I’ll probably whisper “oh wow, that’s beautiful” under my breath at least five times during your day.

Reading the Room

I’m sensitive to energy, I feel people’s moods and dynamics almost instantly and that intuition shapes how I photograph. It helps me know when to step in, when to hang back, and when to just let the moment breathe.

The Calm and the Hype

I’m naturally gentle but also a total hype woman when you need one.

Guided, Never Posed

If you need direction, I’ll guide you through it in a way that feels effortless and natural. And when the moment hits, when it’s raw, emotional, or completely unplanned, I’ll be there, quietly catching it without interrupting.

Digital for Motion, Film for Heart

My process blends digital and film because I love the balance they bring, digital captures movement, film captures emotion. Together they create that nostalgic, cinematic feeling that makes your photos feel like memories instead of poses.

This Is How I Speak

Photography is how I express my feelings, it’s how I process love, light, and everything in between.

FILM EXPLAINED

Film isn’t just a look — it’s the texture, depth, and emotion of your day, captured in a way that feels alive. Every frame is intentional
Couple sitting at a wooden bar table in a cozy pub, woman holding cocktail, man drinking dark beer.

I don’t give exact numbers for how many film photos you’ll get, because each roll is a mix of 35mm and medium format (120), and I choose what to shoot based on the moment. Sometimes a candid moment calls for 35mm; sometimes a quiet, artful portrait feels right for medium format.

If you’d like to learn more about film, take a peek at my film blog for all the details: https://www.claudiavayala.com/blog/film/

35mm: 24-36 frames per roll, perfect for capturing spontaneous, in-the-moment storytelling.

Medium format (120): 12–16 frames per roll, ideal for rich, deliberate portraits. The image on the right is an example.

Coordination With Vendors? I believe the best weddings happen when every vendor feels like part of the same team. I make it a priority to connect with planners, florists, videographers, and everyone involved so we’re all working in sync. When there’s trust and collaboration behind the scenes, everything flows smoother, and that energy shows up in your photos.
